Peter Skwirz recently represented the Town of Cumberland in his role as assistant solicitor in the wake of the Cumberland Town Council’s removal of its council president in August of 2019.
Peter and his UTR team prevailed at every stage of the case; it was summarily dismissed in the Rhode Island Supreme Court in December of 2020.
The case involved issues of: title to public office, improper conduct of municipal employees, Open Meetings Act, due process and other legal questions.
